Joseph Tooma is the owner of JTC Associates, a general contracting firm servicing both the PRE commercial construction and residential marketplace with renovation of capital projects, retail spaces, restaurants, offices, showrooms, health clubs, brownstones & high end apartments as well as some smaller new construction projects throughout NYC.
Joe holds a Master’s of Science degree from the prestigious Stevens Institute of Technology where he received the Dobbelaar Family Award for outstanding performance in Construction Management. He received his BS degree in Architecture from New York Institute of Technology and is a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School.
While attending graduate school and working for PMS Construction Management, Joe gained valuable experience working on the design-build renovation of 13 NYFD firehouses throughout NYC and the historical renovation of the NYPD Fort Apache (old 41st precinct) in the Bronx and building the new 33rd precinct.
With a strong background in architecture and construction management, Joe started his own company, JTC Associates in 1996 based on the principle of providing a high quality product to a special clientele. He has developed a strong corporate philosophy which has embraced a commitment to creating a healthy relationship with his clients and team built on the art of communication and dedication to the work. Currently his firm has completed and in the process of building some noteworthy projects at Brooklyn’s Industry City.
